Founding Member pricing is $24.99 per month, or $199.00 per year, locked for the life of your account — your rate never increases, no matter what standard pricing does in the future. It is available exclusively to couples on the waitlist, as recognition for being part of the community that helped build Aura from the ground up. Founding Members also receive a permanent profile badge, early access to new features, and direct input on the product roadmap. It is reserved for waitlist members, and once your rate is locked, it stays locked for as long as your account is active.

Annual Premium pricing works out to about $20.75 per month — roughly 31% less than paying month to month. If you expect to be an active member for more than eight months in a year, annual saves you money. The decision is straightforward: active couples who use the platform regularly benefit from annual; couples who want flexibility to pause or cancel cleanly may prefer monthly. There is no penalty for starting monthly and switching to annual later.

No. The free plan does not expire and never converts to a paid plan on its own. It is an ongoing free tier you can stay on for as long as you like — no countdown, no card required, no timer to beat. Aura is genuinely free to use for as long as it is useful to you. If you are on the waitlist and later decide to upgrade, you can lock in Founding Member pricing on Premium whenever you are ready.

Yes. Cancel anytime — no questions, no retention friction, no guilt-trip email sequences. If you cancel a paid plan, your account downgrades to the free plan at the end of your billing period and your profile remains intact. Your data, connections, and conversation history are preserved. If you want your data fully deleted, you can request complete account deletion by contacting support, and we permanently remove your data within 30 days.

Yes. Life happens. You can pause your subscription for up to 90 days, during which your profile moves to private and your billing is suspended. Your connections, conversations, and account settings are preserved exactly as you left them. When you are ready to come back, one tap resumes everything. Pausing is designed for real-life circumstances — travel, life events, or simply taking a breath — without forcing you to choose between paying for something unused and losing everything you built.

On iOS and Android, subscriptions are processed through the App Store and Google Play respectively using whatever payment method you have on file with Apple or Google. On the web, we accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not store card numbers directly — all web payments are processed through our PCI-compliant payment processor. Billing descriptors on your statement are designed to be discreet.

We are aware that discretion extends to your financial records. The billing descriptor on your statement is deliberately generic — it will not reference Aura, lifestyle, or anything that identifies the nature of the service. The exact descriptor is confirmed during onboarding and in your account settings. If you have specific concerns about a shared account or financial transparency with someone outside your relationship, that is a conversation worth having before subscribing.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are only charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan benefits until then. There is no fee to change plans. Founding Member pricing is permanent once claimed and cannot be converted back if you voluntarily cancel and re-subscribe on a different plan.
