What is Takeover Event?

A lifestyle takeover is a large-scale organized event where a lifestyle travel company, club, or organizer books an entire resort, hotel, or cruise ship and fills it exclusively with lifestyle-oriented couples and participants for a defined period — typically a long weekend to a full week.

Takeovers create an environment qualitatively different from a single-night party or club event. The sustained, immersive format — where participants share meals, pool time, excursions, and evening events over multiple days — builds a sense of community and comfort that larger single-night events rarely achieve. Connections made at takeovers are often more relaxed and genuine because there's no rush: if you don't connect with a couple on the first night, there are four more evenings.

Well-known lifestyle takeover brands operate resorts in destinations like Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica, and various European locations. Lifestyle cruises are another major format. These events typically sell out months in advance and carry premium pricing reflecting the all-inclusive format.
