What is Parallel Play?

Parallel play describes a specific type of same-room lifestyle encounter in which two couples are physically present in the same space and aware of each other, but each couple focuses primarily on their own partner rather than engaging in direct partner exchange. The erotic element comes from the shared environment, mutual visibility, and the exhibitionistic and voyeuristic charge of consenting adults in a shared intimate space.
